In the coming days, western Germany is bracing itself for some potentially adverse weather conditions.

On Tuesday, there is an initial possibility of localized severe rain amounts, with many clouds moving from the west over the center to the south. Oliver Reuter, a meteorologist with a Master of Science degree from the German Weather Service (Deutscher Wetterdienst, DWD) in Offenbach, has reported on these weather changes and severe weather situations such as thunderstorms and heavy rain.

Severe weather is expected along and west of the Rhine on the night from Monday to Tuesday. Partly shower-like or thunderstorm rain will occur on Tuesday, moving northeast. However, it will remain mostly lightly cloudy or sunny and dry from Vorpommern to the Upper Lusatia on Tuesday.

Temperatures will range between 17 and 24 degrees on Tuesday. Along the Elbe, there will be individual thunderstorms with heavy rain in the afternoon and evening on Tuesday.

As we move into Wednesday, the sky will be partly to heavily cloudy. Heavier rain will fall in the south on Wednesday, later reaching the eastern parts of the country. It will remain drier in the west and northwest on Wednesday.

Residents in these affected areas are advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions as the situation develops. The German Weather Service will continue to monitor the conditions closely and provide updates as needed.
