Witnesses needed for traffic accident in Ludwigsburg, Germany: Cyclist sustains severe injuries, police investigation ongoing
On June 26, 2025, a traffic accident occurred in Ludwigsburg involving a 70-year-old e-bike rider and a 52-year-old Renault driver. The incident took place near Bottwartalstraße and Marbacher Straße at around 13:50.
According to the Ludwigsburg Traffic Police, the e-bike rider was part of a group of nine cyclists. Unfortunately, the e-bike rider was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. The Renault, following the collision, was no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away.
The total material damage caused by the accident is estimated to be around 3,500 euros. The investigation aims to determine which traffic light was red and which was green at the time of the accident.
The Renault collided with the e-bike rider while crossing Marbacher Straße. The Ludwigsburg Traffic Police have initiated an investigation into the accident, with the head of the Ludwigsburg Police Directorate, Thomas Wild, overseeing the case.
