Woman Accused of Setting Vehicle Ablaze and Fleeing in Geneva Faces Arson Charges
In the early hours of Saturday morning, Victoria S. Gordon, a 29-year-old woman, was arrested by the Ontario County Sheriff's Office following an incident in Geneva.
The incident unfolded when deputies responded to a vehicle fire on Carter Road. Upon arrival, a K9 unit was deployed to search the area near Carter and Gambee roads. The K9 unit led deputies to Gordon, who was seen fleeing from a parked car.
Officials claim that Gordon was inside the car just before she fled. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
Gordon was arrested at Station 19 on Carter Road around 3:45 a.m. It was discovered that she had an active warrant in another jurisdiction, and she was subsequently turned over to that jurisdiction.
In addition to the vehicle fire, several nearby cars were found with open doors, rummaged through, and items stolen. As a result of these actions, Gordon was charged with arson in the fourth degree.
Gordon, who is not mentioned in the available search results and nor is any information about an active arrest warrant for her found in another jurisdiction, was arraigned and released on the arson charge.
