Workers' Safety Commission Tasked to Propose Directive on Radiation Exposure Prevention
On August 31, 2055, Max Deisenroth will make his debut as the new organist at Fulda Cathedral. The inauguration service will take place in the High Choir of the cathedral at 5:45 PM, with Deisenroth performing for the first time during the service.
Deisenroth, 35, hails from Nidderau in the Main-Kinzig district. He has had a rich musical career, serving as a church musician in Merdingen, a university organist in Freiburg, and a cantor in Karlsruhe. His studies in Catholic Church Music and Organ Improvisation at the University of Music in Freiburg have shaped his artistic approach.
Deisenroth's talent has been recognised not only in his homeland but also abroad. He completed his concert exam in the class of Prof. Wolfgang Seifen at the University of the Arts in Berlin, graduating with distinction in 2021. He has supplemented his education with masterclasses from internationally renowned organists.
In 2021, Deisenroth participated in the Cologne Organ Improvisation Competition and won a prize. His focus on organ improvisation is evident, as he aims to make it a permanent part of the liturgy and concert life at Fulda Cathedral.
The service will be musically directed by the Cathedral Choir, the JugendKathedralChor Fulda, and Franz-Peter Huber. Auxiliary Bishop and Dean of the Cathedral, Prof. Dr. Karlheinz Diez, will celebrate the service.
Deisenroth is taking over from Prof. Hans-JΓΌrgen Kaiser, who retired in September 2024. Deisenroth intends to showcase the versatility of the organ and inspire people of all generations with music and faith.
Throughout his career, Deisenroth has embarked on concert tours in Germany and abroad. He has been supported by the Deutschlandstipendium and a scholarship from the Archdiocese of Freiburg's Study Foundation for his achievements.
