Workshop at iX: Achieving seamless execution of electronic invoicing mandate in Germany
The upcoming online workshop, titled "E-invoicing Obligation: Implementing Software Correctly," is set to provide a comprehensive guide for software developers, project managers, ERP software manufacturers, and data scientists involved in invoicing or data analysis. Scheduled for October 6th to 10th, 2025, the interactive and practical event will focus on supporting, checking, and converting the new XML formats of the European invoicing standard.
Led by two experts in the field, Andreas Pelekies, the technical inventor of the ZUGFeRD standard, and Jochen Stark, a graduate in business informatics and backend developer, the workshop aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to navigate the intricacies of the new E-invoicing obligations in Germany.
The workshop will cover roles, representation details, conversion, checking, and implementing the X(ML) invoice, with a particular focus on the German legal obligation for structured E-invoicing in the B2B sector, which comes into effect in 2025. The European invoicing standard includes EN16931, Cross Industry Invoice (CII), Universal Business Language (UBL), Factur-X, ZUGFeRD, and XRechnung in the B2G sector.
The three mornings (October 6th, 8th, and 10th) will see participants meeting online with the trainers in a group setting. Each day, participants will engage in practical exercises on the different XML formats. For the second and fourth days, participants will receive tasks to work on independently and discuss in the group the following day.
An early bird discount of 10% is available for those who register before September 7th, 2025. The workshop will be conducted from 9:00 - 12:30 CET each day.
This workshop is not an advertisement but a practical guide for implementing the new E-invoicing obligations in Germany. For more information or to register, interested parties are encouraged to visit the official workshop website.
