World's Chic Ice Track Unveiled: An Exploration of Automobiles, Lifestyle, and Fashion at the Hottest Frozen Raceway

In the heart of the Austrian Alps, Polestar, the electric performance car brand, made a bold statement at the FAT International Ice Race. The challenging task of creating a venue for this unique event was met with enthusiasm by Polestar's architects and designers.

Polestar's Electric Garage, a hub for experiencing electric mobility, was the centrepiece of their presence. The main attraction was an elevated Polestar 5, a four-door Grand Tourer set to be Polestar's most powerful car. This electric powerhouse was a sight to behold, standing proud against the backdrop of the snow-capped mountains.

The Electric Garage aimed to create a movement and craft thought-provoking, hands-on moments. It featured high-tech racing simulators, bespoke racing helmet painting, and a display of Polestar's Arctic Circle collection. These one-of-a-kind show cars, lifted and wearing specialized ice racing tyres, were a distinctive sight with their white and yellow coats.

Dan Persson, Polestar's Strategic Creative Director, explained the Electric Garage's purpose: "We wanted to bring our unique take on racing culture to the paddock of the event. The Electric Garage is about more than just showcasing our cars. It's about creating experiences that challenge perceptions and inspire action."

Polestar's partnership with the Melbourne Football Club, based on shared values of challenging boundaries and acting with purpose, was also evident in their participation at the event. Swimming superstar Sarah Sjöström and racing driver Thed Bjork, who has a history with Polestar, having driven for Cyan Racing before Polestar was established, were among the event's participants.

The main action of the event took place trackside, where vehicles with spiked wheels raced. The Mille Miglia, a race and fashion parade, was also an event Polestar may have participated in, although the winner of the 2025 race is not yet known.

The event offered a variety of activities such as flying bulls, helicopter rides, and VIP paddocks. Despite the cold weather, the FAT International Ice Race was a thrilling spectacle that showcased Polestar's commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric performance. The Polestar 5, set to be available to customers later this year, is a testament to this commitment.

Polestar brought its electric mobility vision to the frozen airfield in the Austrian Alps, turning the FAT International Ice Race into an unforgettable experience. The Electric Garage, with its innovative features and thought-provoking experiences, is a step towards crafting a sustainable future for racing culture.
