World's Most Esteemed Ice Track Revealed: Automobiles, Lifestyle, and Fashion Unleash Their Cool Factor
In the heart of the Austrian Alps, Polestar, the electric performance brand, recently showcased its innovative Electric Garage at the FAT International Ice Race. The Electric Garage, a hub for those wanting to experience electric mobility, offered a unique blend of high-tech racing simulators, bespoke racing helmet painting, and a futuristic look and feel.
The main action of the event took place trackside, where vehicles with spiked wheels raced on ice. Among the participants were swimming superstar Sarah SjoΜstroΜm and racing driver Thed Bjork, both of whom expressed positive feedback about the thrilling experience.
Dan Persson, Polestar's Strategic Creative Director, explained that the Electric Garage is about creating a movement and crafting thought-provoking, hands-on moments. The event featured various activities such as flying bulls, helicopter rides, and VIP paddocks, adding to the excitement.
Polestar faced a challenge in creating a venue for the event in a short period of time, but Dragan Pavlovic, Polestar Architect, found the task both challenging and inspiring. The centerpiece of the Electric Garage was an elevated Polestar 5, a four-door Grand Tourer set to become Polestar's most powerful car.
The Polestar 5 was showcased alongside the Arctic Circle collection, a series of one-of-a-kind show cars equipped with specialized ice racing tyres and distinctive white and yellow coats. Belgian racing driver Shana Claessens reflected on the experience of getting behind the wheel of a Polestar 4 at Circuit Zolder.
Thed Bjork, who has a history with Polestar, having driven for Cyan Racing before Polestar was established, also participated in the event. Thed expressed his appreciation for the innovative approach Polestar brings to racing culture.
Looking forward, Polestar fans can expect the Polestar 5 to be available to customers later this year. The brand is also planning to bring its unique take on racing culture to the paddock of the Mille Miglia, a race and fashion parade scheduled for 2025.
Despite the lack of information about the person responsible for the creation of the Electric Garages at Polestar in 2021, it's clear that the brand is committed to pushing the boundaries of electric racing and offering unforgettable experiences to its fans. Sergio Marques, in his Polestar, finds home in various locations, including Jokkmokk, reindeer and Northern Lights territory, demonstrating the global reach of Polestar's electric racing movement.
