XRP's value might surge beyond $5 in September, fueled by potential triggers
Ripple (XRP) is experiencing a surge in its price, with several catalysts driving the growth. The digital asset's market share is on the rise, particularly with the growing popularity of the RLUSD stablecoin.
Technical analysis reveals a bullish trend for Ripple. The price chart shows a forming bullish flag pattern, which is part of the larger cup-and-handle pattern. This pattern, when complete, often indicates a significant price increase.
The depth of the cup-and-handle pattern is approximately 53%. Extrapolating this percentage from the cup's upper side suggests a target price of $5.2 for Ripple, representing an 85% increase from its current level.
The bullish sentiment is further strengthened by the Federal Reserve's expected interest rate cuts in September. Such cuts typically lead to increased investment in both cryptocurrencies and stocks, as lower interest rates make borrowing cheaper.
Jerome Powell and other Fed officials have hinted at this decision in response to recent weak jobs numbers. The anticipation of these rate cuts has been a significant factor in the recent rally in both crypto and stock markets.
While multiple companies have been reported to be building XRP reserves, only three - Trident Digital, Webus International, and VivoPower - have been explicitly named. Trident Digital has invested $500 million, Webus International has a $300 million plan, and VivoPower has used investor funds partially for XRP, according to recent reports. No other firms beyond these three were mentioned.
The Ripple price also has a bullish funding rate, which indicates strong demand from buyers compared to sellers. This imbalance can lead to a rise in the price of Ripple.
