Yakutia's Spring Water Expedition

The Ministry of Ecology of Yakutia has announced the hunting seasons for waterfowl in various districts across the region for spring 2024. The seasons follow a timeline from late April to early June, with each district having its own specific dates.

The hunting season for male ducks using live decoys will run from April 25 to June 10, 2024. However, it is important to note that hunting for purposes specified in articles 15-19 of the Federal Law of July 24, 2009 No. 209-FZ "On Hunting and the Conservation of Hunting Resources and Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation" is not allowed.

The hunting season for waterfowl in Verkhnekolymsky municipal district will begin on May 5 and end on May 14, 2024. The season in Aldan, Amga, Megino-Kangalass, Nam, Neryungri, Suntar, Tatyana, Tompo, Ust-Aldan, Ust-Maya, Churapcha, Hanгаlas, and the city of Yakutsk will take place from May 11 to May 20, 2024.

The hunting season for waterfowl in Zhigansky, Eveno-Bytantaysky municipal districts will be from May 22 to May 31, 2024. In the Middle and Lower Kolyma municipal districts, the season will be from May 10 to May 19, 2024. The season in Anabar municipal district will take place from June 2 to June 11, 2024.

The hunting season for waterfowl in Abyisk, Olenek, hunting grounds in the Aikhal settlement and Udachny city of Mirny municipal district will be from May 31 to June 9, 2024. The season in Allakhovsky, Verkhoyansky, Ust-Yansky municipal districts will be from May 15 to May 24, 2024. The season in Bulun municipal district will be from May 27 to June 5, 2024.

The hunting season for waterfowl in Momsky municipal district will take place from May 18 to May 27, 2024. The season in Verkhnevilyuisk, Vilyuisk, Gorny, Lensky, Mirny (except hunting grounds in the Aikhal settlement and Udachny city), Nюrbin, Olekminsky, Oymyakonsky municipal districts will be from May 14 to May 23, 2024.

The hunting season for waterfowl in Kobyaysky municipal district will be from May 9 to May 18, 2024. For all districts, the hunting season for waterfowl is determined and the hunting of waterfowl is prohibited for species listed in the Red Book of Russia and the Red Book of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

The hunting of waterfowl is regulated by the Ministry of Ecology of Yakutia to ensure conservation of hunting resources. It is crucial for all hunters to adhere to the regulations set forth by the Ministry to maintain the balance of wildlife populations and preserve the region's natural resources for future generations.
