Yakutsk Administration and Gazprombank set to develop "Aldan" Ski Resort by 2025

The international scientific-tourist park, the "World Mammoth Center," is being created as part of a broader plan for the development of the Yakutsk region. This centre for educational infrastructure development is expected to be a significant part of the Yakutsk agglomeration's socio-economic development until 2030.

The focus areas of the park include Arctic paleontology, genetics, and climatology research. By providing a platform for these disciplines, the World Mammoth Center aims to foster a deeper understanding of the region's unique history and environmental conditions.

In addition to its research capabilities, the park will also serve as a centre for developing tourist and educational infrastructure. This development is likely to contribute to the growth of the Yakutsk agglomeration's tourist industry, providing visitors with an immersive and educational experience.

The creation of the World Mammoth Center is not a standalone initiative. It is included in the development plan for the Yakutsk region, which outlines a long-term strategy for the socio-economic development of the area until 2030.

The announcement of the "Aldan" ski resort by the government of Yakutia and Gazprombank on April 25, 2024, further underscores the region's commitment to tourism and infrastructure development. The World Mammoth Center and the Aldan ski resort are expected to work in harmony, offering visitors a diverse range of experiences.

The World Mammoth Center is not just a research facility or a tourist attraction; it is a symbol of the Yakutsk region's ambition to become a hub for scientific discovery and sustainable tourism. As it takes shape, the centre is poised to make a significant contribution to the development of the Yakutsk agglomeration, both economically and culturally.
