In a unique and captivating endeavour, 27-year-old Finnian Garvey has commenced a 750-kilometre hike along the German Limes Trail, dressed in the historical attire of a Germanic tribal warrior. The hike, which started in Rheinbrohl, Rhineland-Pfalz, is part of the German Limes Hiking Trail and aims to set a world record while raising awareness of this significant cultural heritage.

Born and raised near Frankfurt in Hesse, Finnian Garvey has grown up with the Limes' presence, and his fascination with the ancient Roman frontier has led him to embark on this remarkable journey. He plans to complete the hike within 38 days, a challenge that gives him a maximum of 60 days to accomplish.

Finnian Garvey's attire is not just for show. His cloak, shield, and spear are all based on archaeological findings, serving as his sleeping bag, hood, and rain protection during the hike. However, his minimalist shoes have raised concerns about the possibility of sustaining an injury.
