On September 1, 2025, more than 1,700 young individuals will embark on their higher service or middle service training at the Customs Office. Interested parties can apply for a position until October 15, 2025, for positions starting from September 2025 and September 2026.

For the higher service, the theoretical parts are completed at the Federal Administration Academy in Münster, while the middle service training takes place at the training centers of the Education and Science Center of the Federal Financial Administration.

The dual degree program for the higher service lasts three years and concludes with the academic degree "Bachelor of Laws" (LL.B. (CUSTOMS)). The training for the middle service as a financial officer or financial officer lasts two years.
