In an unexpected incident on Sunday afternoon, a collision took place at the roundabout at "Kupferhammer" on Calwer Straße. The accident involved a 20-year-old driver who was operating an unregistered BMW.

The driver lost control of the vehicle, veering off the road and hitting a tree standing on a median strip. The impact was so severe that the tree fell onto a properly driven Audi, which was being driven by a 30-year-old heading out of town on Calwer Straße.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the accident. A rescue team was on standby but was not required. However, the collision resulted in approximately 8,000 Euro in damage to the Audi.

The BMW, which was also determined to be unsafe, was involved in the collision and was towed away. A lane on Calwer Straße was temporarily closed for the cleanup of spilled fluids.

Witnesses pursued the 20-year-old driver who fled the scene after the collision. The driver returned to the scene after being persuaded by witnesses. Two firefighters from the professional fire brigade in Pforzheim were deployed to remove the fallen tree.

The cleanup of spilled fluids was carried out on Calwer Straße, ensuring the safety of other road users. The BMW and the fallen tree have since been removed, and normal traffic has resumed on Calwer Straße.

This incident serves as a reminder to always drive safely and responsibly, and to adhere to traffic laws and regulations. Unregistered vehicles pose a risk not only to the driver but also to other road users. It is crucial to ensure that vehicles are safe and roadworthy before driving them.
