Young Polish individuals take possession of compact excavators in Neustrelitz

In the heart of Neustrelitz, a mini-excavator was reported stolen from a construction site on Strelitzer Straße at 04:00 on May 11, 2025. A vigilant citizen alerted the duty control center of the Police Headquarters Neubrandenburg about the theft.

Under the leadership of Police Chief Commissioner Erik GΓΌnther, the Duty Control Center is responsible for managing such incidents. The Criminal Investigation Department of Neubrandenburg Criminal Investigation Office is currently investigating the case, which involves suspicions of aggravated theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

The suspects, who had taken the stolen mini-excavator, were last seen driving off towards Alt-Strelitz on a bike path. Police officers from Neustrelitz Police Station later found the mini-excavator on the fairground on Strelitzer Chaussee, but the suspects were no longer present. The mini-excavator showed signs of forced entry, and the estimated damage caused by the break-in is around 500 euros.
